Please note that on the afternoon of Thursday 16th July 2026 all General Practice Clinicians in Shrewsbury are attending essential training to help us continue improving the care we provide our patients. This means there will be no clinicians available at the practice after 1pm.
Whilst clinicians are undergoing training, the following options are available;
For urgent medical problems please call 111 who are supplying urgent medical cover
For medical emergencies: please dial 999.
For minor ailments and medication advice: you can visit a Community Pharmacy: www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy/
For minor injuries: you can visit a Minor Injury Unit: www.shropscommunityhealth.nhs.uk/miu
To order medication: Please use the NHS App or your usual method
Our reception and dispensary at Pontesbury will remain open for routine enquiries only and the collection of medications only.
